History and Origins

Creation of Aguilera Extinción (1992–1994)

With the aim of expanding services and facilitating installation clients with the supply of automatic detection and extinguishing systems guaranteed by a single supplier, the project was initiated in 1992 and Aguilera Extinción was formally established in 1994.

The company was established with the best available resources for gas treatment. It features Spain’s first fire test rooms (designed and built by the Group itself), a metalworking workshop, and a paint booth for manufacturing manifolds and battery fittings, a patented continuous weighing system, and proprietary valve designs developed in-house by the R&D department.

Incorporation of EIC / MICROAQUA (2006)

In 2006, Grupo Aguilera acquired EIC (Estudios e Innovaciones Contra Incendios), a company dedicated to the development and manufacture of water mist systems. Its integration into Aguilera Extinción led to the creation of the MICROAQUA brand, which has since become part of the company’s fire suppression product range.
