Gas Treatment Plant

Address: Avda. Alfonso Peña Boeuf 6, Polígono Industrial Fin de Semana, 28022 Madrid
La factoría está especializada en el tratamiento, carga y mantenimiento de gases extintores.

It includes:

  • Metalworking workshop for the manufacture of manifolds and fittings.
  • Paint booth for surface treatment of batteries.
  • Patented continuous weighing system (AEX/CPC) for individual monitoring of the charge of each cylinder.
  • Proprietary valves designed and developed by the R&D department.
  • Certified equipment for charging CO₂, fluorinated gases (FK-5-1-12), and inert gases (IG-55).

FIRE TEST ROOMS

The Group Aguilera has designed and built two unique fire test rooms in Spain, located at Aguilera Extinción.

Test Room 1 – Permanent Inerting System

Dimensions: 7 × 4 × 4 meters. Designed for testing permanent inerting systems. The system consists of the controlled reduction of oxygen levels using nitrogen to concentrations between 17% and 13%, depending on the material.
It is used to document the behaviour of different materials under ignition conditions and to optimise the design of inerting systems.

Equipment: pipe network with diffusers, 3 oxygen sensors, CO₂ sensor, humidity sensor, differential pressure sensor, temperature sensor, algorithmic aspirating detection system, HVAC system, smoke extraction system, and relief damper.

Airtightness: n[50]=1.

Adjacent machine room (5 × 4 × 4 m): compressor, membrane nitrogen generator, control unit, waste filters, and auxiliary nitrogen storage and discharge system.

Test Room 2 – MICROAQUA Water Mist System

Dimensions: 10 × 6 × 4 meters (standardized room). Designed for testing the MICROAQUA water mist system in accordance with European Technical Specification TS 14972 (July 2011) and Aguilera Extinción’s own procedures.
It also enables comparative efficiency tests between water mist and sprinkler systems, as well as testing of fixed fire suppression systems using gaseous agents.

Equipment: 3 temperature probes up to 1,200 ºC, 2 oxygen sensors, 1 CO₂ sensor, 1 differential pressure probe, 1 humidity sensor, aspirating detection system, linear heat detection system, smoke extraction system, forced ventilation, overpressure and relief dampers, ignition equipment for real fire tests, and a network of 5 fixed pipes + 2 configurable lines.

Adjacent pump room: 4 pumps of 40 L/min at 140 bar.
